SafeLaunch Health Leadership Award
How drugs and alcohol affected your life
The SafeLaunch Health Leadership Award is awarded to graduating high school students who have overcome adverse childhood experiences which included drug* use or substance use disorder suffered by a parent, guardian or the applicant. Participation in a random drug* screening program is not a requirement for the award, however, applicants who have successfully participated in such a program shall receive extra credit. Any applicant who has spoken up and gone out of their way to protect their peer group from drug* use will also be given extra credit. Each $500-$1000 award granted should ideally be used to meet the financial requirements of post secondary education or a certificate program for employment.
SafeLaunch is reaching out to parents who have lost a child to substance use disorder to read the applications. If you are interested in helping us, please fill out this short form.
*Drug refers to alcohol, marijuana, nicotine, or any other intoxicating chemical.
